This Refund & Cancellation Policy describes how cancellations and refunds are handled for airline tickets booked through FareValueFlights.com. Because we are an independent travel agency, refund eligibility and amounts are largely determined by the operating airline and the specific fare rules attached to your ticket.

1. 24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation (US Department of Transportation)

For tickets purchased at least 7 days prior to a flight's scheduled departure from a US airport, US Department of Transportation rules generally allow you to cancel and receive a full refund of the ticket price within 24 hours of booking. To use this option, you must call us at (888) 339-9147 within the 24-hour window. FareValueFlights service fees may still apply in some cases.

2. Cancellation Requests After 24 Hours

To cancel a booking after the 24-hour window, please call our toll-free number (888) 339-9147 or email contact@farevalueflights.com as early as possible. The earlier you contact us, the higher the chance of a favorable outcome. Please have your booking reference (PNR), e-ticket number, name, and travel dates ready.

3. Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on:

• The fare class and ticket type you purchased (refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable).
• The time between cancellation and scheduled departure.
• The airline's published fare rules at the time of booking.
• Whether the ticket has already been used, partially used, or marked as a no-show.
• Whether the carrier permits voluntary cancellation in exchange for a future travel credit.

4. Service Fees

Service fees charged by FareValueFlights.com for booking, fare research, itinerary management, and 24/7 customer support are non-refundable unless required by law. If a booking is cancelled, the airline's refund (if any) will be processed back to the original payment method, but the FareValueFlights service fee will be retained.

5. Refund Processing Time

Once approved, refunds are typically processed back to the original payment method within 7 to 30 business days, depending on the airline and your bank or card issuer. Some airlines may take longer than 30 days to process refunds, which is outside of our control. In some cases, partial refunds or travel credits may be offered in place of a full cash refund, in accordance with the airline's policy.

6. No-Show and Unused Tickets

Tickets that go unused without prior cancellation are generally considered no-shows by the airline and are typically non-refundable. Some airlines may forfeit the entire ticket value in the event of a no-show. We strongly encourage all customers to call us as soon as possible if their travel plans change.

7. Airline-Initiated Changes or Cancellations

If an airline cancels a flight or makes a significant schedule change (typically a delay or shift of several hours, or a change in routing or carrier), you may be entitled to a refund, free rebooking, or travel credit per the airline's policy and applicable US DOT regulations. Our team will assist you in coordinating with the airline and processing any refund due.

8. Involuntary Schedule Changes

In cases of involuntary schedule changes, denied boarding, or flight diversions, please contact the airline directly at the airport first if you are already traveling, and then contact us at (888) 339-9147 for follow-up support and rebooking assistance.

2. Provide your booking reference (PNR), passenger name, route, and travel dates.
3. Describe the reason for the refund request.
4. Our team will review your fare rules, coordinate with the airline, and let you know the refund amount, if any.
5. Once approved, the refund will be issued back to the original payment method.

10. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking. Travel insurance can help cover the cost of unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and lost baggage. Our agents can help you compare travel insurance options at the time of booking.

11. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you have any concerns regarding a charge from FareValueFlights.com, please contact us first at (888) 339-9147 so we can investigate and resolve the matter promptly. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may delay your refund and may result in additional administrative charges where permitted by law.

12. Special Circumstances

In limited cases — such as medical emergencies, bereavement, or military deployment — airlines may consider exceptions to standard fare rules upon submission of supporting documentation. Our agents can help you submit such requests, but the final decision rests with the airline.
